Who we are
CF Weddings designs and builds wedding websites for couples, working from Accra, Ghana. The business behind it is Codefoundry Labs LLC, 1021 E Lincolnway, Suite 9697, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001, United States — the studio you may know as The Codefoundry. We decide how the information described here is used, so we are the ones answerable for it.
When you enquire
If you fill in the form on this site, message us on Instagram, or send us a WhatsApp message, we keep your name, your phone number, your email address if you give one, and whatever you tell us about your wedding — the date, the venue, what you are hoping for.
We keep it so we can reply, quote you properly, and pick the conversation back up where it stopped. That is the whole reason.
When you message us on WhatsApp
We keep the conversation itself, the number you messaged from, and the name on your WhatsApp profile. Messages travel through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, so they pass through Meta's systems on the way to us and are covered by Meta's own terms as well as this page.
If you reached us by tapping one of our adverts, Meta tells us which advert you tapped. It does not tell us who you are on Facebook or Instagram, and we do not try to work it out.
When you book with us
Once you are building a site with us, you fill in an onboarding — the two of you, your date and venue, your story, your order of service, your questions and answers, dress code, colours, gift details, the web address you would like, and any photos, video or voice notes you upload. You choose what goes in it, and you can leave anything out.
Signing in to your onboarding sends a short code by SMS to your phone. We store only a scrambled version of that code, never the code itself, and it expires within minutes.
Your site is yours, and public once you share it
Anything you publish on your wedding site can be seen by anyone who has the link — including every guest you send it to, and anyone they forward it to. Please decide what goes on it with that in mind.
We never add anything to your site that you did not give us, and we do not use your photographs or your story to promote CF Weddings unless you have said we may.
Where it is kept
Your details live in a private database, and your photos and videos in private file storage, both hosted in London. Enquiries are also recorded in the system we use to keep track of who we are talking to. None of it is public by default, and none of it is open to the internet.
Who can see it
The CF Weddings team, and nobody else. We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.
A few services we rely on handle parts of it in order to do their job, and only that part: Meta, for WhatsApp messages and our adverts; FlashSMS Africa, for sign-in codes; Amazon Web Services, for hosting and file storage; and Vercel, for serving this site.
Cookies and measurement
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and the Meta pixel to tell whether an advert led to an enquiry. Both set cookies in your browser and both share data with those companies. Neither tells us your name.
If you are signed in to your onboarding, we also set a cookie that keeps you signed in. That one is not optional — the page cannot work without it — and it holds nothing beyond your session.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site still works; the measurement simply stops.
How long we keep it
Enquiries: while we are talking, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Couples: for as long as your site is live, and a period after the wedding so you can still reach it. Ask us to delete any of it sooner and we will.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct anything wrong, to have it deleted, or to be sent a copy. Just ask — we will not make it difficult, and we will not ask you why.
Children
This is a service for couples planning a wedding. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If a guest list or a photo you send us includes a child, we treat it exactly as we treat everything else here.
If this page changes
We will change the date at the top. If a change actually affects what we do with your information rather than just how it is worded, we will tell the couples we are working with directly.
